Our German course A1.1 is ideal for learners who have no previous knowledge of the German language. In this course you will learn the basics so that you can communicate in everyday life with simple sentences and frequently used expressions.

Basic German A1.2 (online)
Course level: German A1.2 (Completion of A1.1 or equivalent knowledge)
Start date: Thursday, Sep 17, 2026 (32 Thursdays)
Time: 6 – 8:30 pm
Location: Online, Zoom
This course builds directly on A1.1 and further develops learners’ ability to communicate in everyday situations. Participants expand their vocabulary (e.g., shopping, appointments, leisure) and learn to handle common interactions more independently. Grammar is extended to include modal verbs, separable verbs, and past tense forms (Perfekt) for talking about past events. Skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing are strengthened through guided practice.

Intermediate German A2.2 (Saturday)
Course level: German A2.2
Start date: Saturday, Sep 19, 2026 (32 Saturdays)
Time: 9:30 am – 12 noon
Location: EGLS, Bellevue
This course continues the A2 level and helps learners communicate more confidently and in greater detail about everyday topics such as work, travel, and personal experiences. Participants expand their vocabulary and deepen their understanding of key grammar structures (e.g., past tenses, subordinate clauses, reflexive verbs). The course emphasizes longer spoken and written communication and improved comprehension of authentic texts and conversations.

Advanced Adult Class B2.1 (online)
Course level: German B2.1
Start date: Tuesday, Sep 15, 2026 (32 Tuesdays)
Time: 6 – 8:30 pm
Location: Online, Zoom
This course is designed for learners who have reached a solid intermediate level and want to refine their fluency and accuracy. Participants work with more complex texts and topics (e.g., society, work, media) and learn to express and justify opinions, discuss abstract ideas, and participate in longer conversations. Grammar is consolidated and expanded (e.g., passive voice, advanced subordinate clauses), and writing skills are developed through structured tasks.
