I was born and raised in Hannover, Germany. After studying French and Geography in Hannover and Aix-en-Provence, France, I received my Staatsexamen I for high school teaching (grades 5 to 12) at Leibniz University Hannover, and my Staatsexamen II in Braunschweig, where I was teaching at Gymnasium Kleine Burg.

I have been living in the Seattle area since 1989 and have been teaching German to ages 3 to 18 at EGLS since 1999. I have 2 children who are bilingual and who went through all the classes and testing at EGLS. I love teaching the German language, culture and history. After teaching the DSDII/AP class for many years, my focus is now on test preparation for the DSDI exam.
