As a certified foreign language teacher, I have enjoyed teaching German to middle and high-school aged students both in Germany and in the US for over 20 years. My experience includes teaching German from beginning to advanced levels including AP at the International School in Bellevue, preparing students for the A2, DSD1 and DSD2 exams at the GLS in Seattle and volunteering as a German instructor for language enthusiasts in my community. In addition to my new responsibilities at GLS, I work as a substitute teacher for Bellevue Public Schools.

I love the outdoors and sports, such as volleyball, swimming and rowing. I also enjoy traveling and organizing trips. I have organized several GAPP study-exchange trips for high school students and frequently travel to destinations near and far with my husband and my daughter who also attends EGLS.
